Do you like the Beatles, Stones, Herman's Hermits and Castaways?
You've heard of YouTube by now, haven't you?

Thanks to everyone who saw the blog post and emailed me a "station ID" audio clip. You can do the same and I'll use it in the future. Just say, "I love Garage Rock Radio", or "This is xxx from xxx and I love Garage Rock Radio", or "This is xxxx from the band xxxx and you're listening to Garage Rock Radio", or something like that. You can use any mic and any recording program, even the Sound Recorder program that comes with Windows. Save it as a WAV file and email it to bill@garagerockradio.com and I'll use it in an upcoming podcast. Thanks!
Here are links to the posts we've made so far on the New Blog:
Garage Links, 2006
The song is "Hard Times" by "Danny and The Other Guys" from Chicago. It's a reverb guitar and organ over bass and drums Garage Punker. Another angry song about a "No Good" girl. Enjoy!
Like we said last time (September 16, 2005 News), we have had many links emailed to us this year. We presented a list of all the bands and other Garage related topics that you had mailed us about. We're not always able to timely comment here on what you email us, soooo....
From now on, you can Publicize and Promote Your Own Garage Band, Event, Radio Show, Web Site, Book, Fanzine, etc. on our NEW Bulletin Board Site - Garage Rock NOW! We already have some Topics and Posts from our testers. Learn about the upcoming Garage Festival, GoodStock. Discover the new NY Garage/Punk band, The Rants. See our current Topic List!
Please visit our NEW Bulletin Board and tell the world about your Garage Band or other Garage related News! Create a Topic about your Band or other Garage subject. Fill it in with general information. Then you can create a Post in that Topic whenever you have any specific News to share.
Garage fans can visit our NEW Bulletin Board, browse through our Topic List, and make a Post on whatever they feel like commenting about. Anyone can Post, and there is no need to log in or to create an account. Please visit our NEW Bulletin Board Site - Garage Rock NOW! - Right Now! Thanks!
We have just added 2 NEW MP3s to our MP3 page!!! Once again, we have created a complete web page for each song, as we did with "Games" by The Nova Local. There is some commentary on the song, the LYRICS, and some links for more information.
The first New Song is "I Hope You're Proud" by Bo Allen, from the 11/13/05 Teenage Wasteland show. It's a mid-60s Garager from Georgia. This toe-tapper features a cool guitar riff over simple organ, bass guitar and drums. The vocals are strong and clear. Listen to it; we know you'll love it!
The second New Song is "Through My Eyes" by The Creation, from the 11/20/05 Teenage Wasteland show. This song was recorded in 1967 in the UK. The band sounded like the early Who but this one is psychedelic. It features trippy vocals over guitar, bass guitar and drums. The background vocals seem to be female. Get out the Black Light Posters and Incense and Groove to this Garage MindRocker!
We have already recorded 2 MORE MP3s for our site! Check back in the coming weeks for New MP3s. In the meantime, visit our new Bulletin Board Site - Garage Rock NOW! - and enjoy reading and making Posts.
Have a great holiday season!

Finally - Podcast 4!
Volume 4 has 4 songs on it and runs for 15 minutes and 14 seconds. It's just under 14 MB in size and is in MP3 format encoded at 128kb/second. The sound is NOT CD quality; if you hear a song you like, it's probably on a CD compilation somewhere. My voice sounds better on this one because I'm now using a nice noise-cancelling mic. I also used a better quality version of my outro bed and I let it play for longer than I usually do. I've had requests to hear more of the outro song, so I let it go for about 90 seconds this time.
Here are the songs in the Podcast:
It's The Same All Over The World - Squires
Tears Tears - Decisions
Echoes - Lord And The Flies
You Are Your Only Mystery - Baroque Monthly

This web site is about 1960s Garage Rock music, the Radio shows that play it, and the new bands that are influenced by it. There are several radio shows that play Garage music. Right now, we will be discussing three popular ones, Bill Kelly's Teenage Wasteland, Little Steven's Underground Garage and WNYU's Plastic Tales from the Marshmallow Dimention.
Our MP3 page contains selected songs from recent editions of these shows that I especially like. On this page (right above here), we provide a Google powered search engine for this site and a
Guestbook where you can leave a comment! The News And Reviews section, further down on this page, has News about Garage Radio and Garage Bands and reviews of Teenage Wasteland and Underground Garage shows from 2003 (The latest News is at the TOP of this page). After that is a Search section, where you can search through show playlists. There is a Links section after that, followed by our Store section where you can click through to Barnes & Noble or Amazon.com and buy Garage Rock products. Here are links and some general information for each of the three radio shows we cover:
Bill mentioned this web site ON THE AIR on his 3/9/03 Marathon show! Thanks, Bill!!! Click HERE to hear what he said about THIS WEB SITE!
We've also been reviewing CDs from new bands that are influenced by 1960s Garage Rock. If you
have a band that plays '60s sounding music, tell the world about it on our NEW Bulletin Board Site - Garage Rock NOW!
